Jingers Jaunts

Please note that it is essential to read and understand the conditions of booking as written below and other information in this brochure. The Rally Operator accepts bookings subject to the following conditions:

Itineraries:
While the Rally Operator will use its best endeavors to operate this tour as advertised, reasonable changes to the itinerary may be made where deemed necessary. The Rally Operator reserves the right to change any of the facilities, services or prices described in this brochure and/or the website. If a major change is known, you will be told at the time of booking, otherwise the Rally Operator will inform the client as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before departure of the tour from Sydney.

Payment of your adventure:
The balance of all monies due, including all surcharges, must be paid to the Rally Operator not later than 90 days before departure. In the case of non-payment of the balance by the due date, the Rally Operator may treat the booking as cancelled by the client.

If we cancel your holiday:
The Rally Operator reserves the right to cancel this tour in any circumstances, but will not cancel it less than 8 weeks before the departure date from Sydney except for force majeure, consolidation or the client's failure to pay the final balance. Unless the client fails to pay the final balance, the Rally Operator, upon cancellation, will return all monies paid not including associated costs.

"Force majeure" means war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions, technical or maintenance problems with transport, charges imposed by rescheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline or other similar events beyond the Rally Operator’s control.

"Consolidation" means and refers to the fact this rally is dependent upon a minimum number of vehicles participating.

If you cancel your holiday:
Should the client wish to cancel, cancellation charges will be imposed. These are calculated from the day written notification is received by the Rally Operator as a percentage of the tour price or the non-refundable deposit, whichever is greater:

  • 180 days or more before departure – loss of deposit.
  • Between 90-179 days prior to trip departure – 50% of total booking costs.
  • Less than 90 days prior to departure – 100% of total booking cost.
It is strongly recommended that full insurance is taken out which includes cover, under certain circumstances, against the loss of deposit or cancellation charges. No refunds will be made if the client voluntarily leaves the rally for any reason after it has begun. Refunds will be at the discretion of the Rally Operator if the client is involuntarily forced to leave the trip for any reason. No refunds will be given for any accommodation, transport, sightseeing or services not utilised.

Rally Participation:
Clients agree to accept the authority and decisions of the Rally Operator, its’ employee’s and representatives whilst on tour. If in the opinion of the Rally Operator the health, level of fitness or conduct of a client at any time before or after departure appears likely to endanger the safe, comfortable or happy progress of the tour, the client may be excluded from all or part of the tour without refund or recompense.

If a client commits an illegal act the client may be excluded from the tour and the Rally Operator will cease to have responsibility to/for them. If the client is affected by a condition, medical or otherwise that might affect them or other people’s enjoyment of the tour, the client must advise the Rally Operator at the time of booking. No refund will be given for any unused services.

Prices:
Prices quoted are based on currency rates as at 31 May 2010, however as external factors may affect exchange rates, transportation, price of fuel and accommodation, the Rally Operator reserves the right to alter the price of the rally and forward an amended invoice. Any price increase will be notified more than 26 weeks before departure of the tour from Sydney.

Liability Insurance:
Limited insurance is held by the Rally Operator. The client acknowledges and accepts that there may be no policy covering the Rally Operator's liability to its clients for death, injury, damage or loss occurring during the rally in Australia. The client acknowledges that the Rally Operator has taken reasonable steps in safeguarding its liability. Although the Rally Operator holds various insurances, this booking condition states that the client must assume he/she is not covered by the Rally Operator’s insurance policy, including liability insurance for death, injury, damage or any loss. Further, the client to the fullest extent permitted by the laws in Australia, waives any right of action the client might have against the Rally Operator for personal injury or accident causing death, damage or any loss suffered or incurred during the Rally or while travelling to or from the Rally.

Travel Insurance
Travel Insurance is compulsory for all rally participants. The client's own travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and personal liability. We also recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects.

Health and fitness:
Whilst the rally is not physically demanding, each client should be in excellent health to participate in the tour and be prepared to drive for long hours each day. Please consult your doctor for vaccination and other medical requirements for your trip.

Passports & Visas
Clients must carry a valid passport and have obtained the appropriate visas before travelling to Australia. Please ensure your passport is valid for not less than 6 months beyond the duration of your trip. It is your responsibility to ensure you are in possession of the correct visas for your trip. The Rally Operator cannot accept responsibility if you are refused entry because of the lack of correct visa documentation.

Complaints:
If there is something you are not happy with on our tour, please let us know straight away so we can do our best to put things right. Communication please!
